Join a world-class academic healthcare system, UChicago Medicine, as a Project Manager, responsible for providing project management services in the delivery of a new healthcare building focusing on cancer care services.  The total value of this new 575,000 SF facility is $815 million with an anticipated opening in 2027.  This role will also assist in the completion of an offsite multi-specialty facility of 130,000 SF and a project value of $150 million, opening in 2024.    Essential Job Functions: - Provide Project Management services for capital construction projects by managing cost, scope, schedule, resources and risk. Candidate will develop and document intended scope, identify associated cost and schedule based on that scope and identify required internal and external resources required to deliver the scope. Candidate will identify risk to project deliver and develop mitigating strategies to avoid or minimize potential negative outcomes. Manage and report variance according to developed plan - Candidate will provide on-site supervision of construction phases by chairing owner-architect-contractor progress meetings to ensure the project is completed in a manner consistent with the contract documents and intended scope - Provide oversight to all project delivery activities, include support during planning and activation phases. Manage a matrixed organization for successful project delivery. These include resources internal and external to the department within the Medical Center enterprise - Direct and manage resources external to the enterprise such as contracted designers, builders, skilled trades and other professional service providers or vendors - Continually monitor outside influences such as regulatory agencies, market and technology changes that support or hinder the efficiently accomplishment of department process and procedures - Provide project controls by updating ledger software to monitor invoice and expenses. Manage and updating project schedules within identified software. Develop project charters to for scope identification and documentation. Manage and document project issues and risks. Provide change management by documenting alterations to project plan and maintaining up to date change logs - Manage multiple projects simultaneously, understanding interdependencies and constrained resources. Phase projects accordingly to meet client needs as they affect direct patient care - Perform other duties departmental duties as identified and assigned by senior management   Required Qualifications: - Bachelors Degree (Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or Project Management Preferred) A equivalent amount of education/experience in these fields would be considered in lieu of a specific degree in the design or construction industry - A minimum of five (fifteen preferred) years in the construction industry providing project management to design and construction projects - Experience in managing scope, schedule, cost, risk and resources in a capital design and construction setting - Demonstrated ability to provide project management phases of initiation, design, implementation and project closing in a design and construction environment. Demonstrated ability to control project while managing scope, schedule, cost, risk and resources - Knowledge of building codes, City of Chicago codes and regulations and other regulatory compliance in the design and construction industry - Demonstrated ability to manage several projects simultaneously - Demonstrated ability for problem solving, critical thinking, independent work, technical and administrative skills, and computer literacy. UChicago Medicine Medical Group takes pride supporting motivated providers in delivering outstanding care in the community.   UChicago Medicine Medical Group seeks an exceptional Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for Ingalls Memorial Hospital location in Harvey, Illinois.  Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Roles and Responsibilities  - Administering anesthesia to a patient  - Maintaining anesthesia during an operation  - Managing recovery from anesthesia  - Performs preoperative assessment of the patient, which includes chart review, preop patient interview, history and physical if necessary, and establishes an anesthesia plan based on findings and discussion with the surgeon and attending anesthesiologist  - Demonstrates an expert proficiency in airway management, which includes mask ventilation, laryngeal mask ventilation, endotracheal intubation  - Case types include General surgery, Ortho, Spine, OB/GYN, Ophthalmology, Urology.
