We’re seeking a dynamic IT Product Owner who is passionate about leveraging technology to transform healthcare operations and thrives at the intersection of strategy, collaboration, and execution. In this high-impact enterprise role, you will translate complex clinical and technical needs into actionable product strategies, champion quality improvement initiatives, and develop scalable, reliable solutions that measurably enhance patient care, staff experience, and operational performance. You’ll partner closely with operational stakeholders to optimize workflows and collaborate with clinical application and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration across our environment.
In this capacity, you will lead the vision and delivery of cutting-edge Real-Time Location Services (RTLS) and enterprise Temperature Monitoring Systems across UCM. Through patient, staff, and asset tracking, you will help establish a real-time, location-aware network of care—where patients and caregivers are visible as dynamic nodes within the broader system of care delivery. This capability enables teams to proactively identify bottlenecks, resolve care delays in real time, enhance throughput, and elevate the patient experience while supporting optimal clinical outcomes. Simultaneously, you will harness high-fidelity location and environmental data to enable value stream mapping, operational analytics, and scalable quality improvement initiatives across the enterprise.
This position will be flexible with work-from-home opportunities with the requirement to come onsite to our site locations around Chicagoland as needed. You will need to be based in the greater Chicagoland area. The IS Product Owner/Program Manager manages multiple related projects and/or work streams within a product/program at the milestone level with supporting details managed by the project teams. Identifies and manages interdependencies within and across projects with the program. Facilitates teams that include all levels of the organization. Builds strong relationships with senior executives in both IT and business partners. Leads program governance teams through complex reviews, facilitates decision making.

Compensation & Benefits Overview
UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.
The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
