Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system, UChicago Medicine, as a Customer Service Associate at our Burr Ridge Call Center. This position is a 100% onsite opportunity. You will need to be based in the greater Chicagoland area.
The Senior Customer Service Representative (CSR) answers calls from both within and outside the Hospitals in a professional and courteous manner and transfers the calls to the appropriate destination. They provide paging services (overhead and “beeper”), physician referrals, and messaging functions. The Senior CSR uses discretionary abilities to recognize emergency, life threatening, and high priority calls and situations, and responds rapidly and according to established prescribed procedures and assist CSRs with difficult or emergency calls as necessary. Additionally, the Senior CSR acts in the capacity of supervisor in the absence of the manager.
