Job Description

Join UChicago Medicine, as a Patient Experience Advisor in the Patient Experience Department at our Hyde Park Campus.

 

The Patient Experience Advisor will be responsible for managing and facilitating process improvement projects that deliver a measurable impact on quality, safety, efficiency, and patient experience. In this capacity, he or she will work closely with clinical and operations teams to review consumer insights trends and themes, identify improvement opportunities and goals, leverage supporting best practices, and partner with them to deliver improvements to clinical and operational experience outcomes.

 

Essential Job Functions:

 

Process Improvement

  • Learns and leverages new tools and improvement solutions to support clinical and operations teams’
  • Identifies and defines process improvement opportunities through observation of patient-facing teams and by conducting metrics analysis.
  • Partners with peers and other departments to coordinate implementation of process improvement projects.
  • Facilitates patient experience learning sessions and serves in a coaching capacity to support consistent adoption of best practices.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders across the enterprise to support the full patient lifecycle, including key operations partners like Food Services, EVS, clinic/unit staff, etc.

Project Management

  • Supports development of project plans, timelines and goals.
  • Tracks ongoing progress towards goals and implementation timeline
  • Identifies, escalates, and supports resolution of barriers to project success
  • Communicates project milestones and goals to all stakeholders in a clear, consistent and timely fashion.
  • Maintains supporting documentation and tools for project execution and management.

Communication and Change Management:

  • Sets and continually manages project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project end users to ensure buy-in and support sustainable adoption of new practices and/or processes.
  • Provides leadership with regular updates on project milestones and deliverables.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years healthcare experience
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Associates degree or higher preferred
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and analytical skills
  • Ability to motivate and engage team members across the enterprise and at all levels

Compensation & Benefits Overview

 

UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits.  The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.

 

The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
