The Manager – Physical Security is responsible for the design, operation, maintenance and testing of security management systems and applications designed to maintain a secure environment for patients, visitors, staff and protect the property and assets of the University of Chicago Medical Center (UCMC) campus, UCMC offsite facilities and clinics, and Community Hospital and Healthcare Division (CHHD) facilities, including Ingalls. This includes, but not limited to, access control, video surveillance, video storage, duress alarms, infant security, visitor management, incident reporting, guard tour, communication systems, and dispatch centers. Annually manages development, coordination and execution of approximately 15 new security system projects valued between 3 and 6 million dollars from inception to close out consistent with UCMC policies and procedures. Directs and coordinates all UCMC staff and contractors who are responsible for all phases of project management for security system projects. Serves as a technical resource to UCMC and BSD project managers on design and installation of security management systems at renovated and new facilities. Manages day-to-day activities of Security Specialist(s). The Manager is also responsible for overseeing and coordinating all service orders performed by contractor(s) and the installation of new applications and equipment.

Compensation & Benefits Overview
UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.
The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
