Join Ingalls Memorial Hospital as a Public Safety Supervisor in the Security Department at Ingalls Hospital.
The primary function of this position will be to oversee the daily operations of the Security Department. The incumbent will manage security staff in providing a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors in or around the hospital property area. In addition, the position will safe guard hospital property, equipment and supplies. The position will be required to work as a uniformed Security Officer, in order to supplement Security staff on all shifts, as needed. Rotating shifts may be required to address staffing needs of the 24/7 department.
Essential Job Functions
Participates in LEAN initiatives to mitigate waste and enhance productivity within the department. Monitors employee productivity and monitors all employee paperwork for accuracy.
Provides Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
Assists with other requirements, such as, but not limited to, First Responder, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI), TB Mask Fitting, Firearm requirements, Radiation Safety, Annual Competencies, etc.

UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.
The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
