Join a world-class academic healthcare system, UChicago Medicine, as the Executive Director, System Supply Chain Operations & Logistics. We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Operations leader to continue to evolve a leading healthcare supply chain operation. This leader will have responsibility for operational and financial management, and improvement, of all UChicago Medicine system locations for supply chain dock-to-stock operations and activities including people, facilities, equipment, inventory management, technologies, new build, item change, area refresh, and supply disruption management. The successful candidate will lead the development, implementation, and continual improvement (PDCA) of the associated standard processes and standard work for the Hospital System. You will be responsible for modeling and fostering a team culture of continual, daily improvement through structured lean and problem-solving concepts to maximize efficiency and productivity across the Hospital System. Assuring the department delivers outstanding service to all sites of care, you will lead development and execution of operations strategy and participate in cross department planning and business management activities, including Value Analysis Teams, MDI huddles, project planning and review meetings, policy development, HICS events, and Kaizen process improvement events. You will have the opportunity to present and participate in industry forums and conferences to share knowledge, highlight UCM accomplishments, and remain abreast of current trends and opportunities that could impact the business environment.
Reporting to the Chief Supply Chain Officer, this Executive Director is a strategic business partner. A critical thinker and influential leader, the successful candidate will have 3 direct reports and provide leadership for a department of 200 staff that operate and maintain supply chain dock-to-stock operations and activities for the Hyde Park Academic Medical Center campus facilities, in addition to the Ingalls Memorial Hospital campus and the UChicago Medicine Crown Point campus, as well as various ambulatory locations in our growing health system. The successful candidate must be able to actively manage human, capital, and operational resources using well-developed metrics and KPIs. This position has oversight for the System annual budget and supply inventory of $30M+.

Compensation & Benefits Overview
UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.
The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
