Join a world-class academic healthcare system, UChicago Medicine, as the Executive Director, Musculoskeletal Center and Executive Administrator, Department of Orthopaedics, responsible for the leadership and strategic oversight of the operational, financial, patient experience, and clinical outcomes of the UChicago Medicine (UCM) Musculoskeletal Center (MC) and Biological Sciences Division (BSD) Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation Medicine (OSRM). In partnership with the department Chair, this role also oversees all administrative responsibility for the academic missions for the BSD Department of OSRM.
The Executive Director, Musculoskeletal Center and Executive Administrator, Department of Orthopaedics will ensure alignment of clinical services, faculty recruitment/promotion/support/retention, and resource allocation across all inpatient, outpatient, and procedural areas related to the MC and Department of OSRM. Working closely with the Chief Strategy and Growth Officer, OSRM Department Chair, Section Chiefs, and MC Physician-in-Chief, the Executive Director will be responsible for driving growth initiatives, faculty/staff support, service line development, and patient experience improvements, ensuring efficient delivery of care.
As the Executive Director, you will partner with UChicago Medicine and BSD leadership to meet financial, operational, and clinical outcomes, while fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability. This role also leads recruitment efforts, coordinates with external agencies, and oversees clinical expansion, capital requests, and space management. Additionally, the Executive Director supports faculty development, drives research initiatives, and ensures compliance with institutional, state, and federal policies. In this role, you will play a critical role in mentoring staff, fostering cross-program collaboration, and identifying new opportunities for growth and innovation.

Compensation & Benefits Overview
UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.
The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
