Join a world class academic medical center, UChicago Medicine, as a UCMC Human Resources Consultant in our Consumer Experience Department. This position will be a hybrid position that will work from home and be required to come onsite as needed.
The Human Resources Consultant serves as the first point of contact and subject matter expert for human resources policies, processes, escalations and programs for UCMC. The Consultant supports employees at all levels of the organization by providing guidance and direction on policy application, promoting access to and utilization of organization programs and benefits, and by resolving problems related to systems and processes. The position fosters a culture of consumer experience excellence, teamwork, and continuous process improvement by providing exceptional customer service and advice on complex questions/requests from employees, managers, and HR functional leads. The Consultant will actively support HR service lines, system utilization, utilization of reports and analytic insights, and HR resources and services. Using knowledge of the fundamentals of all core areas of human resources, the Consultant will actively support programs and initiatives and facilitate access to resources and effective and efficient service delivery. The position will also support the HR components of third-party surveys, site visits, audits, and accreditation reviews. The Consultant will support multi-disciplinary teams to drive positive organizational change, including organizational objectives for engagement, individual and team recognition. The work involves a range of situations and challenges requiring the incumbent to exercise a high degree of initiative, resourcefulness, and good judgement to assess business, leader and employee needs to determine the necessary HR resources to resolve the issue.

Compensation & Benefits Overview
UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.
The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
