Join UChicago Medicine as the Manager of Respiratory Care Services responsible for leadership of staff aligned to the Departments of Adult, Pediatrics, and Pulmonary Function Testing.
The Respiratory Care Manager will serve as a clinical and technical resource for staff and other healthcare providers. Demonstrates clinical expertise in Respiratory Care practices and procedures for relevant patient populations and age groups they lead. Assists with the writing, revising and implementing policies, procedures, and protocols for RCS. The Manager will liaison with Nursing units, ancillary areas, and other departments. Holds staff accountable for clinical performance, HR policies, and communication. As a Respiratory Manager, your role will oversee the assignment of per shift workloads by assuring tasks are made by department guidelines and established productivity standards, and adjust staffing levels as required by daily workloads. As a Respiratory Care Services Manager, demonstrates knowledge of department budget and budgetary constraints and assures areas operate within budgeted guidelines. The Respiratory Manager manages assigned respiratory care staff, delegates and communicates assignments, holds staff meetings, evaluates job performance, performance improvements establishes staff goals and objectives. Manages shift staffing and scheduling, interviewing, hiring, staff involvement recognition, promotion, and professional development.

Compensation & Benefits Overview
UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.
The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
