Join UChicago Medicine, as a Cardiac Device Technician I.
Under the direct supervision of an attending physician, the Cardiac Device Technician assists in providing care to patients requiring a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac rhythm devices. Duties include, but are not limited to, evaluation and reprogramming of implantable pacemakers, defibrillators and loop recorders, and ambulatory and remote monitoring. Provides care to both inpatients and outpatients. The Cardiac Device Technician must possess adequate knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, medical terminology and cardiac rhythms to perform related cardiac procedures.

Position Details
In this role, we anticipate that you will generally work approximately 40 hours per week. We anticipate that you will generally be scheduled to work the first shift and will be scheduled for on-call shifts. We anticipate you will be scheduled to work 100% at the Hyde Park campus. The days of the week that you are scheduled will vary depending on the week, but we anticipate that you will follow the department self-scheduling format and be scheduled depending on department needs.
