Job Description

Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system, UChicago Medicine, as a Supply Chain IT Systems Manager at our medical campus in Hyde Park. Here, you will identify and drive technological solutions for the Supply Chain team. Leading by influence, you’ll partner closely with the Enterprise Information Technology team and external partners to enhance Oracle Cloud and other integrated systems for optimal performance. This position will be primarily a work from home opportunity with the requirement to come onsite as needed. You may be based outside of the greater Chicagoland area.

 

In this position, the Supply Chain IT Systems Manager will apply leadership skills, system technology expertise, analytical problem-solving skills, and Lean process improvement skills to architect, implement, manage, and improve the Supply Chain source to pay, inventory management, business analytics and artificial intelligence system technologies. This is a hands-on team-oriented role that requires a high degree of cross department and solution partner collaboration, coordination, and project management. 

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Architect, implement, manage, and improve the Supply Chain quote to pay, inventory management, analytics and AI technologies
  • Coach and mentor direct reports and Supply Chain team members
  • Manage key solution partner relationships

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management or related field
  • Two or more years programming experience
  • Strong communication skills including delivering formal presentations
  • Excellent qualitative analysis, problem solving, and project management skills
  • Functional understanding of Supply Chain Source to Pay and EMR charging processes
  • Skilled and experienced with any or all the following hardware: Sun, IBM, HP/Compaq, Tandem, Apple or Windows Servers
  • Skilled and experienced with any or all the following operating systems: Solaris, AIX, Digital UNIX, Novell, Microsoft NT/2000/2003/2008, and Apple OS X server)
  • Skilled and experienced with any or all of the following: UNIX-based operating system; Windows-based operating systems; writing scripts in some administrative language (C, C++, Visual Basic, SMS Scripting and Packaging, etc.)
  • Detailed understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data, create complex reports, and prepare presentations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects for self and team

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management or related field
  • Technical experience with Oracle Cloud Fusion Procurement and master data management experience
  • Advance knowledge and application experience with business information systems (Oracle Cloud Fusion preferred), Microsoft Excel, report writing using OTBI, BI, MS SQL and Tableau
  • Green Belt Six Sigma certification or higher
