UChicago Medicine Medical Group seeks an exceptional Orthopedic Physician Assistant (PA) for Flossmoor and Ingalls Memorial Hospital location in Harvey, Illinois.  

Orthopedic Physician Assistant (PA) Roles and Responsibilities  

• Performs comprehensive and problem focused history and physical exams. 
• Formulates a treatment plan for Orthopedic problems within scope of practice.  
• Implements therapeutic intervention for specific conditions when appropriate.  
• Exercises judgment on problems requiring consultation, referral, or evaluation by the supervising Orthopedic surgeon or other health care professionals. 
• Orders, collects, and performs appropriate laboratory or diagnostic procedures, and studies. 
• Assists in surgery and conducts hospital, rounds and writes orders. 
• Evaluates and clarifies clinical conditions, formulates and implements a treatment or therapeutic plan for hospitalized patients, dictates discharge summaries, histories and physicals. 
• Orders, prescribes and administers medication, orthosis, orthotics, braces and other Orthopaedic devices as may be allowed by state legislation. 

Required Skills and Qualifications  

• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant educational program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Physician Assistant Programs. 
• Physician Assistant in Medicine, Licensed (IL). 
• A minimum of two years of orthopedic experience is preferred.
