Clinical Nurse Educator (RN) - Registry - Wound, Ostomy & Continence (WOC), Days, Hyde Park, Illinois

We're hiring for a Clinical Nurse Educator in a registry shift at the University of Chicago Medicine in Hyde Park, Illinois!

A Clinical Nurse Educator- Wound, Ostomy and Continence Care is a Registered Nurse (RN) that provides clinical consults for patients with acute and chronic wounds (e.g., pressure ulcers, arterial ulcers, surgical wounds), other integumentary disruptions (e.g., Graft versus Host Disease, Moisture Associated Skin Damage), ostomy and continence needs.  Professional responsibilities are primarily carried out through direct patient care, clinical assessment and recommendations for treatment/diagnostics.

Required Qualifications

Education

• BSN required; Master of Science in Nursing preferred

Experience

• Minimum requirement of three years of nursing practice.
• Wound Care experience required
• Knowledge and previous application of adult learning principles
• Demonstrated leadership skills evidenced by serving as a charge nurse, preceptor or manager preferred.
• Previous experience working within multidisciplinary teams or nursing leadership committees preferred.
• Demonstrates complex decision-making skills and problem solving ability.

Licenses/Certifications

• Current RN Illinois license
• Certification as Certified Wound and Ostomy Care Nurse (CWON) or Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (CWOCN) preferred
