    Service Now Programmer

     

     

    Job Summary:

    Under general supervision, modifies moderately complex programs from detailed specifications.

    Codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains those programs. Competent to work on most phases of programming activities, but requires instruction and guidance in phases. Note: This position does not perform system analysis functions.

     

    Position will be responsible for ServiceNow configuration and Development

    • Provide programming support, enhancement and testing on custom developed solutions
    • Create custom reports, dashboards, KPI’s and metrics
    • Support ServiceNow integration with other application using ServiceNow API’s, SOAP, REST and other Web Services
    • Analyze and interpret functional business requirements into technical design and solution implementation
    • Ensure appropriate SDLC process are followed when moving changes or new artifacts are promoted to Production
    • Coordinate with other ServiceNow resources to define development standards, processes to promote code changes
    • Automate processes using ServiceNow orchestration and other relevant modules and systems
    • Develop ETL from ServiceNow to other systems
    • Mentor and provide oversight to less senior members of the team

    Core Skills:

    • Hands-on working knowledge and understanding of the ServiceNow architecture and application modules such as Service Catalog, Event, Incident, Problem, Change, Release, CMDB and Self-Service Portal
    • Experience in Deploying solutions using both MID server and REST or SOAP integrations
    • Experience in development and configuration of ServiceNow workflows, email rules, catalog items and ACL’s
    • Experience in Web technologies (XML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Web Service)
    • Experience in ServiceNow systems administration
    • Big plus to have ServiceNow training in Advance System Administration and Scripting in ServiceNow
    • Good understand of ITIL. Preferably, certified in ITIL Foundation
    • Experience understanding, working with, and extending complex data models, both relational and dimensional data models
    • Knowledge of LDAP/Active Directory

     

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant certification in programming, Computer science and/or healthcare, business management or information systems is required
    • A minimum of 2 years’ experience with systems analysis, programming in one more languages and technical design.
    • Minimum one-year experience in technical documentation writing.
    • Proven skills in problem solving.
    • Must work well in a team environment and be able to partner with both business and technical team members.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills and good interpersonal skills required.
    • Proficiency in the programming language / tools used in the position required.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience in a health care environment
    • 2+ years recent experience working with Healthcare Provider (clinical) data
    • 4+ years recent experience working on data integration and warehousing projects
    • 4+ years recent experience working as a data analyst and modeler, including experience creating Relational (3NF) models, Dimensional models (Star, Snowflakes)
    • Expert SQL query language skills
    • Experience gathering and elaborating business and technical requirements

    REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

    • Associate, BS or BA degree, in computer science or technical area preferred, or equivalent training or work experience
