    Director of Clinical Operations – Transplant Center (RN) University of Chicago Medicine in Chicago, IL 


    We're hiring a Director of Clinical Operations (RN) for the Transplant Center at the University of Chicago Medicine in Chicago, IL.

Here you will have the opportunity to develop new strategic programs to further enhance the patient experience as well as manage day-to-day operations of our clinical staff across our Transplant programs.


    In this role, the Director of Clinical Operations oversees the clinical operations of the Transplant Center across all organ groups to ensure consistent practices and

    excellent quality care. They work with Managers/Directors of other areas in regard to departmental communication, process improvement, resource utilization and reimbursement, and improving the staff and patient experience. They provide oversight and education to the Transplant Center staff related to CMS/UNOS standards, policies and

    procedures and documentation requirements. The Director oversees the quality improvement program and participates with the Executive Director and Medical Director in facilitating outreach and marketing programs. This leader serves as the project manager for the electronic medical record implementation modules specific to the transplant program and manages the data repository and reporting programs.

    Director of Clinical Operations – Transplant Center (RN) Education and Experience Requirements: 

    • Must hold a completed Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited academic body. A Master’s degree in a health-related or business/legal field is preferred.
    • Must hold a minimum of 5 years of hospital experience in a transplant clinical or administrative role with specific experience in dealing with management, fiscal oversight, & clinical operations.
    • Must have at least 3 years of experience supervising, leadership, and/or other management functions.
    • Must have excellent oral and intrapersonal written communication skills, must show poise in teaching & consulting.
    • Must have strong organizing & data management skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, database & graphic design, & implementing monitoring & evaluation tools.
    • Must hold, or be eligible to obtain, a current and active RN license in the state of Illinois.ysicianson staff.
