    Analytics Manager, Data and Analytics, Full-time, Day Shift, 5 x 8-hour shifts per week, University of Chicago Medicine, Hyde Park, Illinois


    We're hiring an Analytics Manager, Data and Analytics for a full-time day shift, 5 x 8-hour shifts per week, at the University of Chicago Medicine Hyde Park, IL!

    The Analytics Manager, Data and Analytics is responsible for ensuring that data are strategically used to support Clinical Effectiveness initiatives, while demanding the highest data quality.  


    In this role the manager will lead and actively participate on a team responsible for gathering, stewarding, analyzing, and making the voice of patients, staff, and extended community available to UCM.


    This position plays an integral role in discovering areas of opportunity to enhance and differentiate UCM’s patient experience using multiple types of data including, but not limited to survey, operational, clinical, financial, and external comparisons.


    This position is closely aligned with the activities of the Clinical Effectiveness Teams.  The effective manager ensures effective collaboration with other members analytics teams following the organizational approach to analytics and data as articulated by the Data Governance Council and Demand Management.


    Required Qualifications

    • 4 Year College Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience
    • Familiarity with statistical analysis and business intelligence software preferred.
    • Prior experience managing patient satisfaction survey vendors (e.g., Press Ganey, Avatar, NRC Picker, etc.) or clinical databases (e.g. Premier, UHC) preferred.
    • Supervisory experience. 
    • Demonstrated competency with use of computer applications.
    • Understanding of Business Intelligence and Dashboard Development
    • Demonstrated ability of successful project management
    • Ability to employ and design processes to utilize powerful analytic software (e.g. SQL, MS Access, SAS, SPSS, R) required for analyzing data residing in large relationship databases
    • Excellent problem solving skills
