    Join one of the nation’s most comprehensive academic medical centers, UChicago Medicine. The UChicago Information Technology Department currently seeks a savvy Matrix Analyst - Intermediate to perform data analytics, build reports and data extract scripts.

    About the role:


    In this role, the Matrix Analyst - Intermediate,(Data Warehouse) will: 

    • Devise or modify procedures to solve complex BI and data analytics needs as related to data acquisition, cleansing and delivering analytics dashboard and Reports
    • Deliver projects and enhancement requests using traditional SDLC methodology
    • Resolve production incidents as per SLA
    • Engage with business to understand system requirements and work with broader IT team to design and implement solutions  

    Here is what you will do: 

    • Perform data analytics, build reports and data extract scripts
    • Review, understand and build solutions as per system requirements and overall solution design
    • Performs quality checks to ensure each deliverables meet business requirements
    • Perform data analytics and develop complex dashboard and reports
    • Executing day-to-day development and support activities
    • Provide operational support and develop plans to ensure compliance with SLA

    What you need for this position:



    • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in delivering IT-related projects
    • Understanding of BI, data Warehouse and analytics tools and techniques
    • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in SQL programming, Perl, Java and C#
    • Basic understanding of Relational Database design concepts and artifacts
    • Experience using one or more BI tools such as  DataStage, SSIS, Tableau, Business Object, Cognos
    • Basic understanding of health care systems such as Epic, Clarity, Caboodle, SlicerDicer is a big plus
    • Knowledge of all phases of the system development life cycle, including requirements definition, analysis, design, programming, testing, implementation and maintenance
    • Knowledge of commonly used or industry standard electronic data interchange standards

    • Superior verbal and written communication skills
    • Must work well in a team environment and be able to partner with both business and technical team members
    • Demonstrated ability to self-direct, multi-task and partner with technical staff from different departments
    • Strong organizational and consensus building skills
