This individual will partner with our Medical and Surgical Directors as well as have exposure to the Dean and President of our organization. This leader will have the opportunity to invest in our current program and grow the department to new levels. The Executive Director of Transplant will work alongside Dr. John Fung and Dr. Michael Charlton to develop new strategy, maintain our high-commitment to compliance, enhance operations, and ultimately see our transplant program flourish. In this role, the Executive Director of Transplant is responsible for strategic planning and development of an adult and pediatric Transplant Center. They are expected to manage and grow through internal operations and outreach, the Heart, Lung, Kidney, Liver, Pancreas, Kidney/Pancreas, Multi-organ and Islet Cell transplant programs. They are responsible for aligning internal and external diverse audiences in a common vision and mission by providing an environment where all parties are involved through a dynamic governance model. This executive is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and controlling the twenty-four-hour, seven days per week operation of the transplant center in order to meet the needs of all customers (patients, families, & physicians). The Transplant Center is inclusive of Surgery, Medicine, Pediatrics, personnel, faculty, and other ancillary staff in various departments. This Executive Director must be familiar with the electronic medical record for clinical operations and transplant specific modules.
