    Program Manager – Stem Cell Transplant & Cellular Therapy, Cancer Service, Full Time Days, University of Chicago Comprehensive Cancer Center, Chicago, IL (Hyde Park campus)


    The University of Chicago’s NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, dedicated to clinical brilliance, scientific discovery, and training the nation’s leaders in cancer care, is seeking to recruit a Program Manager to oversee the Stem Cell Transplant & Cellular Therapy program at University of Chicago Medicine’s main campus in Hyde Park, Chicago, IL.

    In this role, the Program Manager will work closely with the Physician Director of the Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy program to oversee the day-to-day operations of all aspects of the program, and to support continued growth. Key responsibilities, include financial analysis and reporting of budget performance, strategic planning, marketing and outreach, personnel management, clinical quality assurance, regulatory and accreditation compliance.    


    Program Manager – Stem Cell Transplant & Cellular Therapy Education and Experience Requirements: 

    • A Bachelor’s degree in a business, healthcare, or science-related field from an accredited academic body is required. Preference will be given to interested candidates with an MBA, MHA, or other Master’s degree.
    • Must have a minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in an administrative or managerial role in a healthcare setting.
    • Prior experience working with cancer, stem cell,  or solid organ transplant programs is preferred.
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with physician leaders, preferably in an academic medical center environment, is necessary.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
    • Exceptional organizational awareness, emotional intelligence, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills are required.
    • The ability to handle multiple, complex tasks with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy is required.
    • The ability to work independently with minimum supervision is expected.
    • Proven ability to lead change, organize teams, and delegate responsibility appropriately is necessary.
