    Imaging Specialty Technologist Registry (CT)

     

    Department: 377601- CT 

    Shift:  (0.2) / Rotating Shift /8-hr

    Job Summary:

    Performs diagnostic imaging studies as assigned. Applies principles of radiation protection. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of imaging procedures. Provides necessary patient care during the course of imaging procedures.

    • MRI: Current registry by ARRT, advanced MRI certification preferred and licensure by the state of Illinois (IDNS)
      • CPR required and BLS training recommended
      • Minimum 2 years experience in MRI with proven competency in working on GE and/or Philips equipment.
    • CT: Current registry by ARRT, advanced CT certification preferred and licensure by the State of Illinois (IDNS)
      • CPR and BLS training recommended
    • Ultrasound/Cardiac Sonography: RDMS certified and/or eligible for certification preferred.
      • Requires satisfactory completion of formal Ultrasound training in an AMA approved school and/or three years of ultrasound experience in a hospital setting.
    • Nuclear Medicine: Requires satisfactory completion of formal Nuclear Medicine technology training in an AMA approved school.
      • Requires eligibility for registry by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification.
      • Requires eligibility for "Active" IDNS accreditation in the category of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
    • Cardiovascular: Current registry by ARRT and Licensure by the State of Illinois (IDNS)
