    Join one of the nation’s most comprehensive academic medical centers, UChicago Medicine. The Marketing and Communications Department currently has a new opportunity for a Graphic Design, Specialist to create edit and implement designs for internal and external communications and marketing materials on print or digital platforms.


    Job Summary


    In this role, the Graphic Design, Specialist creates and implements graphic designs for internal and external communications and marketing, including websites and social media channels.


    Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities 

    • Acts as an experienced graphic designer, editor and manager for internal and external publications, the UChicago Medicine website, content hub and social media channels
    • Creates, edits and implements designs for internal and external communications and marketing materials on print and digital platforms
    • Creates, designs and edits information graphics for print and digital platforms
    • Maintains Department graphic design and brand architecture design standards
    • Works collaboratively with Marketing and Communications leaders and staff to develop graphic designs that enhance internal and external communications and marketing projects for internal and external clients
    • Fosters a client-focused approach and participates in team-based creative problem-solving to execute plans/meet goals
    • Maintains brand messaging and brand design architecture for UCMC/BSD
    • Focus on print collateral power user of Adobe Creative Cloud

    • BA/BS in graphic design or related field
    • Minimum of five (5) years in graphic design
    • Excellent designer and editor
    • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud
    • Knowledge of AP style
    • Experienced in developing and executing all graphic design elements for marketing and advertising campaigns
    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a creative environment
    • Works well with creative staff, administrators and academic medical professionals
    • Able to work as part of a team as well as independently
    • Able to juggle many tasks effectively
    • Deadline-driven
