The Supply Chain Department is hiring a Supply Chain Resident to build expertise and problem solving capabilities, develop an understanding of SC systems and practices before assuming a fixed position. 

     

     

    Job Summary

     

    In this role, the Supply Chain Resident is an entry-Level rotational position, serving various roles within the Supply Chain & Logistics department. You will:

    • Contribute results based project work.
    • Provide effective communication to management, co-workers, and suppliers to establish collaborative communication related to activity status of supply chain initiatives
    • Serve as a professional and knowledgeable representative of organization to outside suppliers Supports Lean process initiatives through use of 5S, Value Stream Maps, and Kaizen improvement events
    • Recognize opportunities to maximize savings and increase efficiencies through shorter cycle times, first time quality measures, and process mapping, and drives changes accordingly
    • Perform monthly budget v/s actual performance analysis for supply and implants

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities 

    • Learn by doing in one or more of the Supply Chain & Logistics functional areas by executing job responsibilities that support the daily work tasks, projects, and business objectives
    • Sourcing Teams and Value Analysis Teams (VAT) under direction of Director, Strategic Sourcing
    • Independently secures data from suppliers and internal sources, and performs effective analysis of findings to DEVELOP, IMPLEMENT and MONITOR supplier strategies and relationships in all aspects of cost, quality, delivery, technology and services
    • Purchasing Teams to effectively drive procurement transactional functions and process improvement within the Purchasing department
    • Focusing on supporting procure to pay processes
    • Development and growth of physical supply chain, including receiving, stocking, inventory management, and process improvement in these areas
    • Performs   assigned analysis and reports
    • Supply Chain Performance & Analytics team with work on Supply Chain business process systems to drive best practice use of technology and reporting. Drive supply chain business process improvement with PDCA approach. Support processes to drive supplier quality improvement

    • Communicate with Impact – you focus on the message of others, provide undivided attention, and defer judgment. You convey messages logically, simply, and with confidence. You check for understanding by asking questions, seeking clarity and responding accordingly.

    Qualifications

    • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Purchasing, or Engineering
    • One (1) plus years’ previous related work experience
    • Supply Chain & Process Improvement course work with similar internship experience
    • Strong analytical abilities including high aptitude for Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Access, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, and Word
    • No Sponsorship or relocation assistance available

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Lean/Process Improvement, process mapping, and Six Sigma experience preferred
