    Breast Cancer Survivorship Advance Practice Nurse (APN), the Cancer Service Line, Full Time Days, University of Chicago Medicine in Hyde Park, Chicago, IL 


    UChicago Medicine’s NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center is hiring a full-time day shift Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) for the breast cancer survivorship program.

    In this role, the Advance Practice Nurse is responsible for comprehensive direct patient care management. The APN manages a caseload of patients and exercises autonomous decision making in the assessment, diagnosis, and initiation of delegated medical treatments. The scope of practice also includes family support, teaching, staff education, consultation and research. Furthermore, the APN will be responsible for formulating and delivering comprehensive survivorship care plans to clinic patients.     


    Breast Cancer Survivorship Advance Practice Nurse (APN) Education and Experience Requirements: 

    • Must be a graduate from a formal advanced practice nurse program from an accredited academic body.
    • Must be certified through the state of Illinois as Licensed Registered Nurse and Licensed Advanced Practice Nurse.
    • Requires a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as an Advance Practice Nurse (APN).
    • Experience working as a family nurse practitioner or in the breast cancer medical, radiation, or surgical oncology setting is preferred.
